Four months ago, I embarked on my 60by60 initiative—60 projects over 12 months—with the goal of gaining clarity on where to focus my energy as I approach my 60th birthday in June 2025.
“It’s the Kids!”
To my surprise, the answer came much faster than expected. In less than four months, one word stood out with crystal clarity: EQJOY.
It’s now clear that helping children is my most important focus. Through EQJOY, I can make a meaningful difference by empowering children to develop their Emotional Intelligence. Not only does this help them build resilience for life’s challenges, but it also lays the foundation for a balanced, joy-filled life, setting them up for success in whichever path they choose.
Following the Signs
In the past four months, I’ve launched several initiatives and reached out to many contacts. Some of those connections didn’t lead anywhere, while others faced significant obstacles. So, armed with my philosophy to go with the flow, pay attention to the signals and to follow the path of least resistance, is has been easy to let go of what doesn’t serve.
In contrast, my efforts around EQJOY have sparked significant interest, resulting in several exciting collaborations already. More on those in a later post…
Divine Inspiration
Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to attend two retreats with the Brahma Kumaris, a wonderful organization dedicated to fostering peace in the world. These retreats allowed me to dive deep within and seek divine guidance. The message was unmistakable: the future lies with the children, and I have the opportunity to help create a brighter future for children through EQJOY.
So here I am, just four months into 60by60, with my path illuminated: focus on children, focus on Emotional Intelligence, focus on EQJOY, focus on the mission to empower every child in the world to become an EQ Master by the age of 11.
Amor Vincit Omnia
You may have noticed that love wasn’t on my 60by60 list. Yet, while I was busy looking elsewhere for my purpose and the meaning of life, love found me—unexpectedly and with full force.
Taking head of the wise words from the song Nature Boy…
The greatest thing
You’ll ever learn
Is just to love
And be loved in return
… I am with joy and love in my heart that I am abiding by the true essence of the 60by60 initiative, which was to be “a transformative journey to seize the moment and celebrate life’s precious experiences” and fully embracing love and this next chapter in my life.
Farewell, 60by60 you served me well.
So, with a feeling of immense gratitude and peace in my mind, I’m closing down the 60by60 initiative ahead of schedule. This is allowing me to create a stronger energy flow around EQJOY and to make space for the gift of love that has entered my life to blossom.
Stay tuned for more updates on EQJOY’s progress, and if you want to be part of making EQJOY’s vision a reality, feel free to reach out—We’d love to collaborate.
With joy,
Andrew
